Geosynthetic Clay Liner is applied to compacted soil or gravel layers at a minimum thickness of 10 cm, and to concrete or reinforced concrete layers at a minimum depth of 10 cm. It should be applied to flat, dry, and free-flowing surfaces. On flat surfaces, it is rolled onto the surface or applied using a backhoe loader, overlapping the joints by at least 10 cm. Roll joints should be laid with a minimum offset of 10 cm. On vertical surfaces, it should be mechanically secured.
